Whoever owns the probe decides what you can measure.

The debug port is the most privileged sensor on your board, and for thirty years the box in front of it has decided how much of it you were allowed to use. ARM shipped the counters, the trace and the sampling hardware a decade ago; most of it never reaches you because capability lives behind a thousand dollar pay wall. We build our own probe, so the question stops being what a vendor supports and becomes "what you want to know?".

A trace is not just for debugging.

Recording every branch and every decision answers the bug you cannot reproduce, and that is where every other trace tool stops. The same record is a regression gate in CI and a flight recorder you can pull off a unit that misbehaved in the field, because it is a file, not a live session you had to be watching.

Not a chat box bolted onto an editor, and not a list of tool calls you have to take on faith. The agent works on the capture, the timeline and the source you are looking at, so work hands back and forth without a briefing, and every claim it makes is one you can check against the record.
